Some Potential Social Products:
Funding Factors: We have gained funding for our Group's activities from various sources -
with thanks for those contributions. Funding is of course very necessary for
the upkeep of our defibrillators and associated community resilience
costs, which we undertake for the village. Much of the funding is
'restricted' for the purposes of the grant - eg if a grant is provided
to buy defib parts, we can't use that money for any other purpose.
However some funding is given open ended for the general purposes of our Group, to the benefit of the
community.
Affordable Projects & Your Ideas: All
this means we can afford to carry out some additional project work for
the general welfare of our community.
So we are happy to get ideas from
the community.....please feel free to contact us with initial ideas for
these 'potential projects'. What we won't do is to dictate to residents
or other local bodies as to the implementation of their own social or
recreational activities.
We
now rent the small
walled plot of land beside the pavement, where we site our north end
defib for the Cairn. So we have taken down the old, now unused and
rotten, wooden noticeboard. The one that was padlocked and previously
used by the now defunct
community council. We will replace that noticeboard which will be for
village notices of general interest to the community - so just ask if
you want to display something of village interest.
In addition there will be a second, smaller noticeboard given over for
further specific information regarding potential defib
use - we understand there is often public trepidation and lack of
understanding as to the emergency use of such devices. At the same time
we intend doing some planting up - perhaps a wee rockery. Not really a
new project, merely a wee update as to what we are doing at the
noticeboard/defib plot.
